MICROBIOLOGY AND TISSUE CULTURE TECHNIQUES

Description: 

This covers skills in the preparation of solutions and culture media, isolation and culturing of microorganisms. Sterilization and related techniques will be emphasized. The course will also cover laboratory requirements for tissue culture; culture and procedure for cell, tissue and organ culture of plants and animals; cryopreservation; importance of tissue culture in agriculture; exchange and conservation of germplasm. Management of microbiology and tissue culture laboratories will be discussed.
